What does a professional organizer do?

Professional organizers help people declutter, organize, and create functional and sustainable systems in their environment. They come up with new and creative ideas for storing, categorizing, and displaying items. They help people process things that need to go and honor things that need to stay. 

 

What areas do you serve?

Blue Jay Organizing serves the Metro Atlanta area. Travel distance of 25 miles to and from the site is included in the rate. Additional miles are charged at $2.50 per mile.

 

How do you handle sensitive situations during the organizing process?

I understand that letting someone into your space can often feel vulnerable, especially if we’ll be sorting through items that may evoke emotions. While I’m not a mental health professional, I aim to create a non-judgemental environment in which you feel supported and understood. 

 

Will you take photos of my space?

I may take photos for internal records, but I will never share them for marketing purposes without your consent. 

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Please let me know as far in advance if you need to cancel your session. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee. Same day cancellations or no shows will require full payment of the session. 

 

Do I need to be present during the session?

You can choose if you’d like to be present or not during the session. If you’re interested in decluttering, I recommend you be around for at least that part of the session.
